Our developmental music classes (ages 6 months to 5 years) give parents and caregivers the tools they need to help their infants, toddlers, and preschoolers explore a variety of environments and experiences through music. We approach music as a medium for play and exploration. Led by Ms. Cheryl a Board Certified music therapist and PA certified music educator, our music activities stimulate the senses and involve the children at many levels providing lots of opportunity to enhance language, social, and cognitive development. The Learners class for ages 2 - 5 introduces music games, following directions, and cooperative play to encourage meeting developmental milestones at this age. We provide all the drums, shakers, props, books, and more needed to enhance the children's' experience.

Classes are limited to 12 children. Cost is $69 per child.
COVID-19 Protocols: Masks are encouraged when class is indoors but not required. Adult masks are provided. Ms. Cheryl will wear a mask when indoors. We continue to use air purifiers and open windows for mitigation.
CLASS LOCATION: 125 S. Turnpike Rd Dalton 18414. We'll meet outdoors when the weather is dry and at least 50 degrees. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair for outdoor classes.

CLASS SCHEDULE - once registered, families may attend any class on the schedule. We encourage makeup classes if your child needs to miss one. This flexibility is provided to encourage families to stay home with any signs or symptoms of illness in order to keep our classes running smoothly.
Thursday Evening Families (6 mos-5 yrs): Thursdays, 6-6:45, January 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, and 16, 2023. If needed, we will add a second class at 6:00. The class leader will alternate between Ms. Cheryl and Ms. Kirsten, if needed.
Learners (approx. 2-5 yrs): Fridays, 9:15 - 10 January 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, and 17, 2023
Friday morning Families (approx.6 - 5 yrs) Fridays, 10:15 - 11, January 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, and 17, 2023
Tuesday Morning Families (approx. 6 mos -5 yrs): Tuesdays, 11-11:45, January 10, 17, 24, 31 February 7, and 14, 2023
INCLEMENT WEATHER: If Abington Heights SD closes for weather on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday, our classes will be cancelled and rescheduled at the end of the 6 week session, adding class weeks as needed. Families will be notified by text at the number on the registration form when class is cancelled or delayed.
Minimum of 5 children per class needed to hold the class. Parents may reschedule their registrations anytime by contacting Cheryl at cmozdian@gmail.com or at 570-862-2495. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, anyone registered will be offered another time to attend or a refund.
Throughout the year we offer opportunities for children to make music with their "grand-friends" at local long term care homes. The classes are structured much like our music classes but with opportunities built in for the children and older adults to interact.
Preschoolers and Older Adults can expect:

The goal of the classes is to meet the holistic needs of the children and the older adults through fun and engaging programming.
