Summit Music Therapy is a music therapy practice that serves Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wyoming, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Monroe Counties. We use clinically proven music therapy interventions to address non-musical goals like communication, mood, memory, social skills, and motor skills.

Music has the power to help us connect, heal, and find balance—even during life's most challenging moments. Cheryl is a board-certified music therapist who is passionate about helping people use music to reduce stress, build resilience, and support overall well-being.
In addition to her board certification, Cheryl has earned certifications in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Hospice and Palliative Care.
She is also trained in the evidence-based Remo HealthRHYTHMS® group drumming protocol, which research has shown can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and support healthy immune function.
As the owner of Summit Music Therapy, LLC in Dalton, Pennsylvania, Cheryl works with children, adults, and older adults, offering music therapy and therapeutic drumming experiences that support the nervous system, neurological function, and emotional wellness. She believes everyone has the capacity to benefit from making music, regardless of musical experience.
When she's not sharing the joy of music with others, Cheryl enjoys spending time with family and friends, discovering new places, and continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
