As of September 2022, 4 adults per child can attend the class.
Our classes follow the research from Early Childhood Professionals in the music therapy community and the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood. Both groups encourage repetition of skills for mastery. 6 consecutive classes give the children opportunity to practice the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills presented through the music.
Drop ins are not part of this program in order to uphold our curriculum goals and objectives.
We discourage drop ins but in the case of a child with sensory processing delays or other diagnosed developmental delay, we encourage you to sign up and try at least 3 classes before deciding if this is for your child or not. Our music therapists are trained to structure the class so all children will feel successful. If after 3 classes, this is not a good fit for your child, we will refund your money upon request for the remaining 3 classes. Refund requests must be made promptly, within that class session.
All children develop at different rates. Our vision at Summit Music Therapy was to create a music class that will include all children. The safety of the children is very important so parents are strongly encouraged to guide their children to safe interactions with the other children. Our classroom was designed with limited distractions (no toys). Our therapists are trained to address the needs of all children.
We don't advertise for birthday parties but are always willing to provide a music class at a birthday party for a child who has attended our classes. We become friends and who wouldn't want their new friend at their birthday party!
We accept cash, check, venmo @summitmusictherapy, or PayPal @CMozdian
We keep our class tuition as low as we can in order to serve the largest number of families possible. Our rate is per child and there is no discount for the second child.
